Welcome to our 2009 production of arguably Gilbert and Sullivan's most popular operetta The Pirates of Penzance. It will be hard to follow last years highly successful Mikado. But I am confident our company will rise to the occasion as they always do.

It has been very pleasing this year to have a number of younger members joining us this is very encouraging for the future of our society.

Gilbert and Sullivan societies around the country are struggling to remain alive due to lack of recruitment of new members and financial restraints with the escalating costs of productions. We are very lucky to have these youngsters aboard and to have a strong committee who keep our finances in order.

Long may it Continue
